CRUE Certificate Program
In response to dramatic demographic changes and a pattern of underachievement and disengagement of large numbers of students in our schools, there is a national movement underway to support teachers to critically examine, reflect on, and respond to practices for students from diverse backgrounds.
The School of Education and Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver has developed a graduate level certificate program designed to assist educators in meeting the needs of urban students who are culturally, economically, and linguistically diverse.
The program is a nine hour graduate certificate consisting of three, 3.0 credit hour graduate courses, offered over the fall and spring semesters. Participants will attend three Saturday sessions per course. The remaining sessions will be taken in an online environment with site-based lessons and activities.
Any course can be taken as a stand-alone graduate course as well!
